What is Hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, can be a socially isolating condition and interfere with your personal or professional life. People with hyperhidrosis have the same number of sweat glands, but the signals activating them are increased from your sympathetic system.Often times, normal anti-perspirants or deodorants either do not last long enough or are not powerful enough to decrease or prevent excess sweating, leading to a person avoiding certain situations out of fear or embarrassment.
Treatment of Hyperhidrosis
How do we treat hyperhidrosis? BOTOX is an FDA-approved and effective treatment for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). The active ingredient in BOTOX which helps relax muscles to prevent wrinkles also targets sweat glands to reduce or eliminate sweating where it is injected. BOTOX lasts up to 3-5 months (perfect for summer!) but is very effective. Countless people have hailed this treatment as a “life changer” and have started engaging in social situations they would have otherwise been apprehensive about.

Hyperhidrosis can get in the way of your personal and professional life. This quick and relatively painless procedure has the benefit of lasting several months after only a 30-minute treatment.
During your free consultation, we will analyze the treatment area, numb your skin, and start the treatment. Most daily activities can be resumed shortly thereafter.
Your consultation is usually 10 minutes, and including numbing time the whole treatment may take around 30-45 minutes.
We use a very powerful and effective numbing cream and ultra-fine needles to dull the pain for your comfort. Most patients don’t feel any pain, with some patients having a pain score of a tolerable 2-3/10. After the injection, we apply arnica to soothe the skin and apply ice packs to reduce swelling and discomfort.
The duration of treatment varies from person to person, but it lasts an average of 3-4 months.
